Changes in the board
We are happy to announce that Liv-Elisif Queseth Kalland has joined the board.
“We are glad that Statkraft is motivated to keep their representation in the steering group, and that they aim to be a key partner supporting our common goal about bringing the necessary shift in the maritime sector. Liv- Elisif brings in extensive experience in the maritime sector and hydrogen fields, and has undoubtedly a lot to contribute to the further work together with the rest of the steering group. We warmly welcome Liv – Elisif and look forward to a close collaboration ahead
I would also take the opportunity to say thank you to Kevin Gould for the valuable contribution to the steering group - your dedication, insightful input, and the many fruitful discussions is higly appriciated. We will continue the dialogues, even though he is no longer formally a part of the steering group”, says CEO Kristin Svardal.
New board member
Liv-Elisif have worked for almost 7 years at ZERO focusing on hydrogen as a climate solution within industry and transportation. As the hydrogen manager at ZERO, she was responsible for advocating for better frameworks to establish the necessary value chains. In the last year, she was also responsible for the maritime sector with a focus on essential climate solutions in shipping and the frameworks needed for their adoption. Liv-Elisif hold a PhD in materials chemistry from the University of Oslo, where she worked on materials relevant to hydrogen technology.
“There is no doubt that we will need hydrogen to decarbonize some hard-to-abate sectors such as the maritime sector but the value chains needs to be matured. The cluster does an important job by supporting collaboration and networking along the value chain and improve the members project development. I look forward to contributing as a board member with my obtained overview of the hydrogen sector in Norway together with Statkrafts expertise as an energy producer”, says Liv-Elisif.
